Thank you so much for that uplifting comment! I'm so glad I'm managing to paint a vivid picture of the ancient Greece of my imagination. As for what happens next, I've written the whole story already (and I wouldn't want to give any spoilers!) but it's ultimately her relationship with herself that shapes her destiny. I wrote this whole novel for my teenage daughter (and partly, I'm starting to realise, for my teenage self), so I've poured a lot into it besides my love of mythology. I just hope all the threads don't get tangled in the telling!
To be honest, I've cherry-picked from the Greek myths (there's a lot of material!), so we meet a lot of well-known characters, and some lesser-known ones too. I haven't followed the events of the original Persefoni myth, but we're headed in the same direction, and I've included all the elements in some way. Thank you so much for your continued interest 🙏🏽 It means a lot!
Absolutely. Our cultures are all rich in myths, legends and folklore. I tend to gravitate towards Celtic and Norse mythology because of my heritage, and Greek because I'm surrounded by it every day. I feel those cultures are a part of me, but there are so many tales to explore. I love reading fairy tale retellings too. ‘Spinning Silver’ by Naomi Novik is one of my favourites, and there are some great ones on here. I can recommend @Daniel W. Davison and @Hanna Delaney for some of those!

Deep gratitude, Katherine, for having been mentioned within this context and alongside the talented @Hanna Delaney.
