Ouch! I'm usually uncomfortable with eye body horror, but this has a undeniable poetic power that lingers even after you finished it.

That is an amazing story. That ending was so, so good. The way she was able to blend into both worlds and think that she knows the difference. But her making the decision to steal the key. What an excellent lead up. Two thumbs up from me! 🙋🏽 I loved it!

This is brilliant. Some mental harmonizing between our takes on it but this-- sooo good! You worked this story to perfection, delicious right up to the last line!

Thank you! Yes, I thought that when I read yours - it's a good setting for a horror story, I guess! But our takes were very different too. The end of yours was truly chilling!

Of course. I read yours before I saw the results and I'm so glad you won. I felt it as it went through it. At least one sense that works just fine! You're on a roll, Katharine. Keep 'em coming!

Katharine, the imagery is beautiful. Even to the end and the "escape". This is a different genre for you and you aced it! You created a girl's entire experience and enclosed world in so few words. Amazing.

I loved the juxtaposition of removing an eye to see. Truly haunting.

I appreciate that. Like you, I don’t usually write horror, but I saw the prompt and the story was right there asking to be written. Pleased to be haunting!
